Ever heard of NaNo? It's short for National Novel Writing Month and takes place every November.
Everyone is welcome and participants are encouraged to write a minimum of 50,000 words between November 1 and 30th.
I've participated the last two years and made the goal both times. I'm already brainstorming on ideas for this year.

I've been a writer for years. In high school I wrote short stories. A few years ago I enrolled in "How to Write and Edit a Novel". This course changed my writing style (for the better!) and gave me a blue print to get my novel written and published. My journey is not yet complete. I've taken a few "rest stops" along the way but I'm confident my novel will be published.

I've been thinking about this for a couple of years but haven't had time yet. I would love to make it a goal to participate in 2008!
